Introduction to Tools

In Skolon there are three (3) types of tools, external, integrated and pending.

External Tools

External tools are tools that is visible in Skolon library so that users can buy it. The tools are not integrated in Skolon so it is not possible for the user to get access through the Skolon platform.

External tools have this broken link iconand information to the user about what to expect regarding delivery of licences.

Integrated Tools

Integrated tools are tools that are integrated in Skolon with single sign on (SSO), user provisioning and license management.

When users buy tools that are integrated, licenses will be created on the fly, automatically, for the user, a specific group/class, school or the organization.

Integrated tools are also a prerequisite for being able to offer a demo via Skolon.

Pending Tools

Pending tools are tools that require partners to somehow do something in their own systems for the license to appear in Skolon.
When that is done, the user can use the tools through Skolon.

When a user buys pending tools it is displayed that the license will not be automatically distributed.
